The Select-Alarm is a very unique alarm device, designed and manufactured by InfraSignal Radio, LLC. We named it Select-Alarm because you can select the type of alarm system you need.
The Select-Alarm has ten (10) modes similar to a radio receiver that are used to monitor, measure and analyze signals that you may or may not want to activate the alarm. These modes are listed in the “Select-Alarm Specifications” below.
Depending on the type of signal sensor (detector) you select and connect to the input of the Select-Alarm, it becomes your selected alarm system. The signal sensor can be a common switch, a thermal switch, a pressure switch, a light sensor, a vibration sensor, an accelerometer, an infrasound hydrophone, an infrasound microphone, or an electromagnetic pulse sensor. Simple connection information is included in the Operators Manual & Installation Guide.
When a vibration sensor is mounted on a ground stake (See Manual below) and connected to the Select-Alarm input, it can detect the early signs of a developing landslide or mudslide.
If you travel frequently for sales and carry expensive samples, you can secure your hotel room by setting up the Select-Alarm and putting the vibration sensor on the floor next to the entrance door.
When a electromagnetic pulse sensor is connected to the Select-Alarm, it can detect both Solar EMP and Nuclear EMP. See (EMP) and (SOLAR ACTIVITY).
A very small accelerometer can be used with the Select-Alarm to detect an extremely small movement of an expensive item.
When an infrasound hydrophone is used with the Select-Alarm, it can detect the pressure waves from large ships propellers and alert small sailboats crossing shipping channels and shipping lanes at sea. See (Collision)
The above are a few examples of the versatility of the Select-Alarm system and how you can use it to meet your security needs.
