Infrasound On VU Meter

There are a lot of infrasound signals from a lot of sources we don’t think about. We had one customer report that his Select-Alarm system picked up the sonic boom from the meteor that hit over middle Georgia in June 2025 and set off his alarm. See (METEOR)

 

Another customer reported helicopter noise setting off his alarm system. His system was monitoring for ground vibrations. Turns out, he lived close to the local airport. This problem was solved by using the “ONE CHANNEL ON CHART/SCOPE” modes and channels 1 through 13 and 15, 16, avoiding channel 14. See (HELICOPTER NOISE)
